Crucial Note for Engineering Graduates
If you are a graduate engineer, do not automatically choose the PMA Long Course. You should actively look for and check Short Service Commission (SSC) or Technical Officer entries, because the Army periodically recruits engineers and specialized professionals directly through these dedicated technical entries.
Step-by-Step Recruitment Process
Military recruitment is highly structured. Follow these 10 steps to navigate the official Join Pak Army portal:
Step 1 — Open the official recruitment portal
Go directly to the official Join Pak Army portal using the link provided at the bottom of this guide.
Step 2 — Check the current registration
Look for the latest Online Registration or Registration Open announcements on the homepage.
Step 3 — Select the type of recruitment
Choose the specific programme that matches your profile: PMA Long Course (Regular Commission), Short Service Commission (SSC - Professional/technical officers), Medical Cadets, or Soldier Recruitment.
Step 4 — Read the strict eligibility requirements
Before applying, you must carefully check physical and academic requirements: Age, Education, Gender, Marital status, Nationality, Physical requirements (Height), Medical requirements, and the required Degree/qualification.
Step 5 — Register online
Click the Registration / Apply Online option. You will need your CNIC/B-Form, Name, Date of Birth, Contact details, Educational information, and Domicile details.
Step 6 — Select your recruitment category
Select the exact programme you are eligible for (e.g., SSC Technical Entry) during the online form process.
Step 7 — Submit the online registration
Review your submitted information meticulously for errors and submit the registration to the portal.
Step 8 — Get your registration/roll information
After successful registration, safely download and keep your registration number, test information, and Roll Number Slip.
Step 9 — Take the initial test
Depending on the programme, you will go through demanding stages: Initial Academic/Intelligence Test, Physical Test, Initial Medical Examination, and an Initial Interview.
Step 10 — Complete the remaining selection stages (ISSB)
Candidates who qualify the initial stages will proceed to the rigorous next stages, which for officer ranks typically include multiple days at the ISSB (Inter Services Selection Board).
