Why Pakistan Navy (PN)?

The Pakistan Navy is the naval warfare branch of the Pakistan Armed Forces. It maintains the defense of Pakistan's sea borders and secures vital maritime interests in the Arabian Sea.

For Engineering Graduates, the Pakistan Navy offers an exceptionally robust technical career path. Through their Short Service Commission (SSC), they regularly recruit top talent across Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Weapon Engineering, IT/Computer Engineering, and Marine Engineering to maintain their sophisticated fleet of frigates, submarines, and naval aviation assets.

Verify Current Deadlines

Be extremely careful with old recruitment dates. For example, recent SSC 2026-B registration ran from May 10–June 14, 2026, and Sailor B-2026(S) concluded on July 5, 2026. Those deadlines have passed. You must wait for the next official cycle to open.

SSC For Engineers

Engineering graduates should specifically target the Short Service Commission (SSC). Recent SSC drives specifically targeted Mechanical, Weapon, and Ordnance engineers. Do not automatically default to the standard PN Cadet route if you are already a degreed professional.

Step-by-Step Recruitment Process

When a new naval recruitment cycle opens, follow these 10 structured steps to apply securely:

Step 1 β€” Open the official recruitment portal

Go directly to the secure Join Pak Navy portal (link provided at the bottom of this guide).

Step 2 β€” Check the current recruitment

On the homepage, look for available categories. For instance, the portal might show recruitment formalities for PNCT B-2026 as being in progress.

Step 3 β€” Choose the entry that matches you

Select your entry route: PN Cadet (cadet/officer route), SSC (graduates/professionals), Sailor (technical/non-technical), or Marine.

Step 4 β€” Read the strict eligibility requirements

Check carefully: Age, Gender, Education, Marks/grades, Nationality, Height, Physical requirements, Medical requirements, and Marital status.

Step 5 β€” Register online

Click the relevant Registration / Apply Online option. You will need: CNIC/B-Form, Name, Date of birth, Contact information, Educational information, and Domicile.

Step 6 β€” Select your branch/category

Choose the branch that matches your qualification. For engineering graduates, select the specific SSC engineering branch (e.g., Mechanical or Weapon Engineering).

Step 7 β€” Submit your registration

Review all entered information meticulously for errors before submitting the online registration.

Step 8 β€” Save your registration information

Safely save or print your registration/application number and any test scheduling information provided by the portal.

Step 9 β€” Take the initial test

The rigorous initial selection process includes: Intelligence test, Academic/e-testing, Preliminary Medical, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and an Initial Interview.

Step 10 β€” Attend the next selection stages

If you pass the initial stages, you will proceed to the next stages, which for officer ranks include the ISSB (Inter Services Selection Board), Final Medical, and Final Merit Selection.
