Editorial Policy

How we research, write, verify, and update every piece of content on Skilloratic.

Our Commitment

Skilloratic is an independent career and skills platform. Our content is researched and reviewed before publication. When we reference external programs, jobs, certifications, or companies, we link users to the official source whenever possible. Time-sensitive information is reviewed regularly. We are transparent about who we are, how we work, and what we can and cannot verify.

1. How Articles Are Researched

  • Primary sources first. We reference official company websites, government portals, accredited institutions, and official program documentation as our primary research sources.
  • Topic-specific research. Before writing a guide, the topic is researched by reading curriculum pages, official certification requirements, and industry job postings to understand what skills are actually in demand.
  • Practical focus. Our guides are written for students and fresh graduates in Pakistan and South Asia. We prioritise information that is practically actionable rather than theory.
  • No copy-paste from other blogs. Each guide is written originally based on primary research. We do not republish or summarise content from other blogs or aggregators.

2. How Sources Are Selected

We include:

  • Official company career portals (e.g. careers.google.com)
  • Accredited certificate programs from recognised providers
  • Established internship platforms with verifiable company backing
  • Official government or university programs

We do not include:

  • Unverified third-party recruiters or unknown job boards
  • Programs we cannot find an official source for
  • Paid promotions or sponsored listings
  • Resources with misleading or exaggerated claims

3. How Links Are Checked

What it means

When a link is marked "Verified" on Skilloratic, it means the destination URL was manually visited and confirmed to be the correct official page at the time of our last review.

What it doesn't mean

Link verification does not confirm that the internship, job, or program is currently open or accepting applications. Users must check the official provider page for current availability.

Review date

Each listing shows a "Verified: Month Year" label. The older this date, the more important it is for users to independently verify the link is still active.

4. How Outdated Information Is Updated

  • Periodic reviews. Key pages are reviewed regularly. The review date is shown on each listing or page.
  • User reports. If a user finds a broken link or outdated information, they can report it via our Contact page.
  • Update notice. When a guide is substantially updated, the "Last Updated" date is revised at the top of the article.
  • Removal. If a program or listing is discontinued and cannot be replaced, it is removed rather than kept with a dead link.

5. How Corrections Are Handled

  • Corrections are made promptly when a factual error is identified by us or reported by a user.
  • Significant errors (e.g. wrong programme name, wrong eligibility) are corrected with a public note acknowledging the change and date it was made.
  • Minor corrections (typos, formatting) are fixed silently.
  • To report an error: email help07@skilloratic.com or use our Contact page. Please include the page URL and the specific inaccuracy.

6. Our Use of AI Tools

AI is used for:

  • Drafting initial outlines of guides
  • Improving clarity and readability of writing
  • Formatting and structuring content

AI is NOT used for:

  • Verifying facts, links, or program details
  • Publishing content without human review
  • Replacing primary source research

All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by the founder before publication. AI does not make editorial decisions.

7. Human Review Process

Every piece of content goes through these steps before it is published or updated:

1

Research

Official pages, program documents, and company websites are visited and referenced as primary sources.

2

Writing & Drafting

Content is written based on research. Any AI-assisted output is reviewed and edited for accuracy before proceeding.

3

Fact Check & Link Verification

All facts, program names, and external links are manually verified against official sources before publishing.

4

Final Review & Publication

The founder reviews the complete page for clarity, accuracy, and fairness before it goes live.

Ongoing Monitoring

Published pages are re-reviewed periodically or when user reports flag an issue.
